This was one of two cakes I baked for my friends’ wedding. It’s an earl grey sponge with lemon cream cheese frosting. I steeped earl grey in the butter cream and used tea leaves in the batter. The first trial bake was caffeinated, but we switched to caffeine free for the real thing.
